Wasps

In Australia, thousands of wasp species coexist with us. While many of these insects play a vital role in our ecosystem, particularly in plant pollination, the presence of introduced species like the European Wasp has posed significant challenges. These aggressive invaders often crash outdoor gatherings, form large colonies, and have earned a notorious reputation for their disruptive behaviour.

The Dangers of Wasps

Wasps, particularly when agitated, can be dangerous – they are capable of inflicting painful stings that may trigger severe allergic reactions in both humans and animals. Additionally, their presence can lead to financial losses for commercial and rental properties, and cause structural damage to buildings by nesting in wall cavities.
